Hi folks,
We’ve made solid progress over the last few months with several key updates. As a reminder, our number one goal for 2025 is to make Vero 2.0 fully backwards compatible so we can introduce it as the default Vero interface. We’re undertaking this work to make Vero more powerful, flexible, and cost-effective, giving you more capabilities and enhancing your overall experience.
Recently, we’ve released a new Profiles section, an initial release of Journeys and enhanced controls for webhooks and suppressions.
This monthly update highlights features we’ve been releasing to our changelog, your resource for staying current with our ongoing releases.
Until next time, Rory 🇦🇺 Product manager
Profiles in Vero 2.0
The new Profiles section replaces will eventually take the place of the Customers page in Vero 1.0. It brings the depth of Vero 1.0’s customer profiles together with the improved UI of Vero 2.0, maximizing visibility into each profile’s data.
With Profiles, you can view and edit a user’s properties, tags, devices, subscription status and recent activity, as well as see which segments they belong to. This release also sets the stage for upcoming multi-channel subscription controls and the brand new segmentation engine in Vero 2.0.
Journeys in Vero 2.0 (beta)
Journeys is our reimagined version of Workflows, now available in beta. It introduces a faster, cleaner visual canvas for building event-triggered campaigns, follow-ups and messaging flows.
This first release (Phase 0) focuses on speed and usability, with advanced filtering, branching logic, SMS/push nodes, reporting and more coming soon. Everything is designed to support these enhancements, so you’ll see them land quickly in future releases.
We know that Workflows can be slow to load and experience edge-case bugs when saving. We’ve rebuilt Journeys from the ground up to avoid these issues going forward.

Webhooks in Vero 2.0
You can now configure reporting webhooks directly in Vero 2.0. Send real-time message and user activity data to your own systems, test payloads instantly, and enable or disable endpoints with ease.

Manually remove suppressions
You can now remove suppressions directly from a user’s profile (in Vero 1.0). If a user is suppressed, just click Remove suppression to re-enable email sends instantly. No support request needed. As always, please continue to respect consent regulations when doing so. This improvement is also coming to Vero 2.0’s new and improved Profiles shortly.
Recent bugs and improvements
We’ve also made a range of fixes and smaller improvements across Vero 1.0 and Vero 2.0:
Vero 1.0
- Added an Unmessageable Users segment to view, export and delete users without emails or device tokens.
- Added last updated timestamps to properties in the person profile UI.
Vero 2.0
- Fixed a bug that allowed the channel type to be deselected.
- Fixed an issue where A/B test number inputs showed "0" when content was removed.
- Fixed a navigation bug causing 404 errors when navigating away from Settings.
In case you missed it…
Here’s a couple more features we’ve shipped so far this year:
- A/B testing is now available in Vero 2.0, allowing you to test subject lines, content, and run pick-a-winner selection tests.
- View Real and bot opens in Vero 2.0 for all email campaigns. This helps you get accurate metrics as bot activity increases and could otherwise distort your engagement data.
- We released Data destinations, an ETL data export feature exclusive to Vero 2.0 that simplifies syncing both historical and real-time message, campaign, and profile data directly to major data warehouses.
- We also revamped and renamed the popular personalisation feature previously known as Fusion to **Data feeds** in Vero 2.0. This update enables you to define multiple API endpoints at the project level in your settings, making it easier to add personalized data to your campaigns without technical expertise or per-campaign configuration.

Stop grifting and start marketing
Our co-founder, Chris, shares one thing he’s always irked at: “spin”. Companies promoting features they haven’t got. Fake urgency. Fake wait lists. Selling customers only on the outcome without clarifying the work required.
The industry Vero is in, MarTech, is actually pretty notorious for spin. In this post, he shares some reflections on how you can do marketing and avoid grifting.
