Vero 2.0 is built from the ground up on top of a new API, which weāll be releasing publicly. Hereās some other improvements over Vero 1.0:

Public Release SMS in Vero 2.0
SMS is one of our most requested features and something weāre delighted to have finally taken out of private beta and rolled out publicly to all our customers! To build this feature weāve had to re-architect several components of our platform to make it more flexible and to increase sending speed.Ā
SMS is now available in Vero 2.0 for all currently supported Vero 2.0 features. As of today you can:
- Import phone numbers into a campaign audience using a CSV file, a Cloud Segment (more on that below) or an SQL query to an external database.
- Personalize SMS messages using audience data.
- Send in batches, schedule and trigger on a recurring basis.
For more information read about setting up your sms channel and creating your first sms message or get in contact with our wonderful support team at support@getvero.com.
New Cloud Segments in Vero 2.0
Weāve added the ability to select and use your existing segments, which weāre now calling āCloud Segments,ā in Vero 2.0. This feature will significantly enhance your ability to send campaigns in Vero 2.0 to your existing customer base.Ā
You can continue to edit and create segments in the Vero 1.0 interface and seamlessly use them in your Vero 2.0 campaigns, making it easier than ever to leverage your existing customer segments and data.
You might be wondering, āWhy canāt I create segments in Vero 2.0 yet?ā The good news is weāre working on it. In the meantime, this new feature allows you to start sending more campaigns in Vero 2.0 right away.
New Settings
You can now manage your settings in the new Vero 2.0 UI. This new UI brings a better more organised way to view, add and update team members, improved customization via project and profile images, and includes some of the most common advanced settings into the Vero 2.0 UI.
As mentioned above, our ultimate goal is to one day retire the Vero 1.0 UI (gracefully, of course!) The release of Settings in Vero 2.0 brings us another step closer to this goal.
Fixed
- Hidden on desktop and mobile fix. Added a fix to the drag and drop editor when selecting the ādesktopā or āmobileā responsive options on a block. This makes sure blocks can never be unintentionally set to hidden on both desktop and mobile.
- Invalid email address causing failed imports. Fixed an issue where an invalid email address in the results of an SQL query or in a CSV could prevent in some rare cases cause the import from completing successfully.
While weāve outlined the exciting future of Vero above, we want to remind you that weāre still actively supporting and improving Vero 1.0. Here are some new features, improvements, and fixes weāve released since our last update.
New Add headers to Fusion API requests
Fusion enables you to load data from any API at the time emails are being rendered to send to recipients, giving you even more possibilities when it comes to content personalization.
This sprint we also released the ability to add custom HTTP headers to API calls made using Fusion. A common use case for this feature is to add headers for secure authentication.
Read more on using Fusion in our help documentation, as well as specific notes on using headers for authentication.
Improved
- Format dates correctly in multi-language campaigns. We have added a with_locale filter that will format a date in the language of the locale passed to the filter. Read more about using with_locale in multi-language campaigns.
Fixed
- Error when accessing team members page. Weāve fixed a bug that would sometimes prevent admins from accessing the team members page.
- Exporter only exporting 50 campaigns. Weāve fixed an issue when exporting campaign results that only returned the first 50 campaigns no matter how many were selected.
- āService Unavailableā when making team changes. Weāve fixed an bug that would sometimes present a 503 Service Unavailable error when adding team members or changing their permissions.
- Only able to access invoices/billing. Weāve fixed a bug that prevent you from accessing the billing or invoices page if you were not in the first project you created.
- Log exports failing. Fixed a bug where attempts to export a personās log history would fail if one of the event logs had been deleted from the system.
- Customer merge failure. Weāve fixed an infrequent failure that would occur when a customer profile was attempting to merge in our backend system. This failure would sometimes occur when two profiles which had both engaged with the same email communication were merged.
- Importing via CSV not completing. Fixed an issue that caused CSV imports to appear to never finish importing while staying on the page. Imports would finish but not update the importing state until refreshing the browser.
